Steak
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
- Season the steak generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add the olive oil and swirl to coat the pan.
- Add the steak to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- (Optional) If desired, add the butter to the pan during the last minute of cooking. Baste the steak with the butter as it cooks.
- (Optional) Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
